Skin Sensitivity & Rosacea
Rosacea affects about 10% of population worldwide, and is characterised by facial flushing, overgrowth of blood vessels (telangiectasia), and outbreaks. It is a chronic inflammatory condition which is often exacerbated by extremes of temperature, exercise, alcohol, spicy food, caffeine, and stress.
Treatments aim to down-regulate the inflammatory process, regulating the function of skin cells. Extrinsic factors that aggravate the condition include prolonged sun exposure without protection and smoking.
