Sunken Cheeks
Over time, we lose the supportive fat cushions under the skin and muscle. Combined with increased skin laxity and loss of collagen, sunken cheeks can occur. This leads to the formation of nasojugal folds (deepening of the line across the cheeks), nasolabial (nose-to-mouth) folds and jaw jowls. These can make the face appear tired or haggard. It is important to recognise its root cause as treatment options vary accordingly.
